1. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, Cardmembers holding a Basic Card issued by AMEX (Middle East) B.S.C. (c) (“AEME”) and enrolled in the Membership Rewards® Programme (other than Corporate Cards) are eligible to redeem Membership Rewards points ("Points") for a statement credit to their Card Account under the “Select & Pay With Points” benefit.

2. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the redemption of Points with Select & Pay With Points will be awarded to you in the form of a statement credit to the Card Account associated with or linked to the Membership Rewards account from which the Points are redeemed.

3. The list of charges that will be displayed on the Card for “Select & Pay With Points” selection will be incurred within the current or previous statement period, or any other period determined by AEME from time to time. AEME reserves the right to determine which Charges are eligible to appear for the Select and Pay with Points benefit.

4. The conversion rates or amounts of Points illustrated to you are determined and subject to change by AEME from time to time without prior notice to you. You must always redeem a minimum of 100 Points at any one time. Partial redemptions are not available.

5. Any credit to your Card Account from the Select & Pay with Points benefit cannot exceed the amount of the outstanding balance on your statement. We will restrict statement credits if your Card Account has a credit balance at the time of the “Select & Pay With Points” redemption request.

6. Your Card Account may not be credited until after a subsequent billing period after you “Select & Pay with Points”.

7. You must continue to keep your Card Account in good standing and must not withhold any payment due on your Card Account based upon your expectation of receiving a future credit to your Card Account through the Select & Pay with Points benefit.

8. You must have a minimum balance of 150 Points in your Membership Rewards account in order to use “Select & Pay With Points”.

9. We will suspend the ability to use Select & Pay With Points where the Card Account is not in good standing or if you fail to adhere to the terms and conditions governing the Card Account.

10. Please note that there may be a time lapse between the time of your eligible Charge and that Charge appearing for “Select & Pay With Points”. The statement credit should appear on the Account within 24 hours and therefore “Select & Pay With Points” requests submitted close to the billing statement date might show as the statement credit only in the next statement period.

11. A redemption of Points under “Select & Pay With Points” cannot be reversed or unwound, except by American Express. Credits applied to your Card Account arising from redemption under the “Select & Pay With Points” programme cannot be exchanged for other rewards, and are not refundable or exchangeable for cash under any circumstances.

12. These Terms and Conditions supplement the Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions only as relates to the “Select & Pay With Points” option. These Terms and Conditions apply in addition to the Cardmember Agreement(s) governing your Cards.
